Nashville, TN (November 5, 2019) The 2019 Diamond Awards was held on Tuesday, October 29 during the Creekside Gospel Music Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN. Many of the BMG & FMG artists were in attendance. BMG and FMG artists were honored to win, perform and present awards.
FMG recording artists, the Williamsons, played a big part in the evening. They sang to a standing ovation and won the award for Favorite Mixed Group. Donnie Williamson was the keyboardist for the event and he and Lisa presented the Trio of the Year award. Darin Hebert (of the Williamsons) joined Richard Hyssong (of the Hyssongs) to announce the Female Vocalist of the Year. Bo Chesser and Pam Dalsky presented the Dottie Rambo Songwriter of the Year award. Sadie and Olivia Williamson were trophy girls for the event. Bo, Donnie, Darin and Sadie sang “Waving on the Other Side” during the Jerry Goff tribute.
The Ferguson Family sang their hit song, “Living for the Call,” and won the award for Sunrise Song of the Year! And, the Barber Family, presented the award for Favorite Soloist.
Les Butler had the great privilege of presenting the Anthony Burger Instrumentalist of the Year award during the evening. Les was also honored to be one of the five nominees for the 2019 JD Sumner Living Legend Award. We would like to extend heart-felt congratulations to Eddie Crook the recipient of the award!
